Good Practices

Database of good practices

This database includes good practices from countries and territories in Asia and the Pacific for implementing the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing. The policies reflected in this database are based on submissions from ESCAP members and associate members through various channels, including secretariat surveys, and supplemented by research conducted by ESCAP staff. These good practices represent a selection of effective approaches to implementing MIPAA in Asia and the Pacific. More information on the selection criteria is forthcoming. There is no claim to completeness.

The categories and sub-categories of the database were designed in line with the priority directions outlined in the 2002 Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing and the outcome document of the Asia-Pacific Intergovernmental Meeting on the Fourth Review and Appraisal of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, held in 2022.
